Quarry Bay's hidden trails?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I was in Quarry Bay last week, exploring the area near the waterfront. It's surprisingly hilly! I stumbled across some narrow, overgrown paths leading up into the hills – looked like someone's backy… more

Yeah, those Quarry Bay hills are deceptive! Looks pretty tame from the waterfront, then BAM, you're climbing. Those little paths are mostly just shortcuts for locals – think super steep, sometimes muddy, definitely not well-maintained. You probably could get seriously lost if you weren't paying attention, especially if it's rained recently; things get slippery fast. Not exactly a "scenic hike" – more like a "I hope I don't twist my ankle" adventure. Stick to the main trails if you want something less... intense. Enjoy your next trip, but maybe bring a map, or at least download a good offline one for @Hongkong.

Haha, yeah, that sounds about right! I figured it wasn't going to be some perfectly manicured park trail. Thanks for the heads-up about the mud – I'll definitely be packing my hiking boots and maybe even trekking poles. Good call on the offline map too; I’m not too keen on getting lost in the hills of @Hongkong. Appreciate the warning!

Lost on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and stumbled across this Belfran Road place online. It looks... quiet? Pictures make it seem really residential. My question is: is there anything actually *to… more

Nah, Belfran Road isn't exactly buzzing. It's pretty residential, like you said. Think quiet streets, maybe some local eateries tucked away. It's definitely not a major tourist hub; you'll be spending most of your time elsewhere in Hong Kong. Don't worry about it being "eerie," though – just… low-key. Use it as a base to explore the rest of the city. You'll be fine.

Yeah, that makes sense. I was picturing something way more… dramatic, I guess. Thanks for the reassurance. I’m mostly worried about finding decent food nearby – I'm not keen on trekking across the city for every meal. So local eateries, you say? Any recommendations? Even if it's just a good noodle shop would be great!
