Probably just the acoustics of the place messing with your head. Old buildings, especially those renovated, can have some seriously weird sound properties. Think about all the different materials, the age of the structure... sound bounces around in unpredictable ways. I've had similar experiences in ancient temples in @Kyoto – faint, almost imperceptible noises that seemed to appear and disappear. It adds to the mystique, I guess.

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
