Saint Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College next week for a friend's graduation. Heard it's a pretty intense place, academically. My buddy, who graduated last year, keeps dropping hints about some cr… more

Nah, it's not a myth. Saint Too Canaan's got a reputation. That whole "ancient Cantonese rituals" thing? Probably a bit embellished, but there is a pretty exclusive society. Think less Fight Club, more... intense book club meets surprisingly serious mahjong tournament. They're low-key, though. You won't stumble upon them accidentally. Your buddy's probably just messing with you, partially. If you're REALLY curious, try casually asking around upperclassmen who seem...involved. But manage expectations. It’s not some shadowy organization plotting world domination or anything. It's @Hongkong, after all. They're probably just really into obscure poetry and dim sum.

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So I'm heading to Robert Black Health Centre in a couple of weeks for a check-up. Heard the wait times can be...intense. Anyone know what the average wait time is like on a weekday afternoon? I've g… more

Ugh, Hong Kong healthcare… I feel ya. Weekday afternoons at Robert Black are usually a crapshoot. Could be 30 minutes, could be two hours. It really depends on how many walk-ins they get that day and what kind of emergencies pop up. Best bet is to call them directly beforehand – they might be able to give you a slightly better estimate. Otherwise, bring a book… and maybe some snacks. Good luck!

Yeah, I figured it'd be a bit of a gamble. Thanks for the heads-up about calling ahead – I hadn't thought of that. A book and snacks it is then! Appreciate the advice.
