Escalators to Heaven?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

So I finally hiked up the Central-Mid-Levels escalator system in Hong Kong. It's insane! Took forever, but the views were incredible. Seriously, felt like I was in some futuristic city... But my… more

Wow, yeah, the Central-Mid-Levels escalators are a trip! Totally worth the leg burn though. For less touristy eats near the top, try wandering down some of the side streets off Hollywood Road – you'll find smaller, family-run places tucked away. They're not always easy to spot, but the food is usually amazing and way more authentic than the stuff aimed at tourists. Honestly, just wander. Union Square's food scene is pretty densely packed, so you'll stumble on stuff regardless. Don't overthink it. Look for places with long queues of locals – that's usually a good sign. And don't be afraid to try something you've never heard of! That's half the fun. You'll probably find some stuff you love and some you don't... that's just part of the adventure. Have a blast!
