Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge last week, the place is gorgeous, seriously. Amazing views, quiet even though it's so close to the hustle and bustle. But here's the weird thing... every nig… more

Three AM humming in Hong Kong? That's…peculiar. Could be anything from dodgy wiring (old buildings, you know) to some seriously dedicated night-time construction project nearby. Or maybe... a really, really good karaoke bar with surprisingly good acoustics? Seriously though, unless it's escalating, I wouldn't sweat it too much. If it continues, maybe try posting in a local HK forum – someone who lives near there might have an answer. You'd be surprised what people notice in their neighbourhood over time.

Yeah, dodgy wiring is my first thought too – the building is pretty old. Karaoke's a possibility, I suppose, though it was a pretty consistent hum, not really musical. More like… a low drone. Thanks for the tip about a local forum; I hadn't thought of that. It's only been happening for a couple of nights, so hopefully, it'll just… stop. But if it keeps going, I’ll definitely check out those HK forums.

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
