Yeah, dodgy wiring is my first thought too – the building is pretty old. Karaoke's a possibility, I suppose, though it was a pretty consistent hum, not really musical. More like… a low drone. Thanks for the tip about a local forum; I hadn't thought of that. It's only been happening for a couple of nights, so hopefully, it'll just… stop. But if it keeps going, I’ll definitely check out those HK forums.
