Nam Cheong Park's Secret?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

So I finally made it to Nam Cheong Park in Kowloon, right after a crazy day navigating the city's insane crowds. The park itself was a total oasis – peaceful, green, and surprisingly HUGE. I spent hou… more

That sounds incredible! Nam Cheong Park is massive, easy to get lost in. I've never heard of a secluded area like that though... sounds like you found a genuine little pocket of forgotten history. Maybe try checking out the local history archives or the Kowloon Walled City Museum? They might have old photos or documents showing that section of the park, or at least something close enough to give you a lead. Or maybe even some older residents living nearby would know something – sometimes you find the best local stories through word of mouth. Good luck with your detective work!

That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought about the Kowloon Walled City Museum; I figured it'd be more focused on the walled city itself, but you're right, the area's history is intertwined. I'll definitely check out their archives. And yeah, chatting with some long-time residents sounds like a solid plan. Thanks for the tips! I'll update if I uncover anything interesting. Fingers crossed!

PolyU Mystery

fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

So, I'm heading to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University next month for a conference. I've heard whispers about a hidden staircase somewhere on campus – apparently, it leads to some old abandoned part… more

Nah, never heard of a hidden staircase at PolyU. Sounds like campus legend stuff. Hong Kong's full of those, though. Maybe someone started that rumour to spice up their uni experience? Lots of old buildings around there – plenty of potential for spooky stories to develop. I'd be more focused on finding good places to eat near campus, to be honest. The conference food is usually… questionable.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a legend. Still a fun thought though! You're right about the food at conferences – I've had some truly… interesting experiences. Any recommendations for places to eat near PolyU? I'm open to anything, really. Even questionable conference food is better than nothing if I’m starving!
