That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought about contacting the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. I figured it'd be a long shot, but hey, worth a try. I'll definitely check out some older hiking blogs too – maybe someone stumbled across something interesting and just didn't think it was important enough to report. Thanks for the tips!
