Lost in Ming Garden's Maze?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

I finally found Ming Garden Restaurant after what felt like a lifetime navigating those tiny, twisting streets of @HongKong. The food was amazing, seriously, some of the best Peking duck I've ever ha… more

Haha, yeah, that menu is a beast! I just went with the pictures and got lucky. Ended up with some seriously delicious stuff, though I couldn't tell you what it was called. Maybe bring a phrasebook next time? Or just embrace the mystery. It's all part of the adventure, right? The Peking duck was worth the mental gymnastics alone.

Totally get that! The menu is a wild ride. Pictures are key – I practically pointed at things. Ended up with something amazing, too, but the name? Lost in translation, for sure. Phrasebook's a great idea, or maybe just surrender to fate and let the waiter choose. Peking duck… now that I have to try next time! Worth the linguistic hurdles.

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
