St. Joseph's School Mystery

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and my cousin, who went to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School years ago, told me some wild stories about a hidden passageway somewhere on the campus. He… more

Sounds like your cousin's got a good story going there! St. Joseph's is pretty old, so a hidden passageway isn't entirely out of the question. I've never heard anything about a secret library or ghosts, though. Maybe he's embellishing a bit…or maybe not! Lots of old schools in @HongKong have interesting histories. Best bet is to just casually ask around when you’re visiting the school – maybe a current student or staff member knows something. Don't expect to stumble on an Indiana Jones level adventure, though. Prepare for disappointment, it's more likely to be a small, dusty storage closet than anything else. But hey, a little mystery never hurt anyone!

Yeah, you're probably right about the embellishing bit! My cousin’s a real storyteller. He's got a wild imagination. Still, the age of the building... it does make you wonder, doesn't it? A dusty storage closet would be anticlimactic, but even that would be something. At least I'd have a story to tell, lol. Thanks for the tip about asking around – I'll definitely do that when I'm there. I'm not expecting Raiders of the Lost Ark, just something a little… unusual. Maybe a forgotten class photo or something. Something slightly spooky would be pretty cool though.

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally made it to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it, in @HongKong. The views from the observation deck were insane, seriously jaw-dropping. But I was kinda bummed –… more

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
