West Hotel Woes?

fmd_good West Hotel

So I stayed at the West Hotel, right in the heart of @HongKong, last month. The view was incredible, seriously breathtaking. But the wifi...oh my god, the wifi. It was slower than a snail in treacle.… more

Yeah, the West Hotel's wifi is notoriously bad. I stayed there two years ago and it was the same story – glacial speeds, constant dropouts. I ended up using my phone's hotspot, which ate through my data like a starving piranha, but at least I could actually work. A scathing review is totally justified. Don't waste your time looking for a secret hotspot; it's the hotel's infrastructure, not some easily solved mystery. They should really get their act together.

Ugh, that's brutal. Two years and still the same problem? That's beyond frustrating. I was seriously considering booking a longer stay there for a work trip, but sounds like I should rethink that... hard. My phone's data plan would be bankrupt within a week at that rate! Thanks for the heads-up – saved me a potential headache (and a huge bill).

Nah, my friend went there a few years back. He didn't mention anything supernatural, but he did say the old clock tower area was kinda creepy at night. Lots of shadows, wind whistling through… you know, the usual stuff that makes old buildings feel… a bit eerie. Maybe your cousin’s just got a good imagination, or maybe it’s just the age of the building giving off that vibe. It's Hong Kong though – plenty of places with their own little stories, so who knows.
