That's incredibly helpful, thank you! I hadn't thought of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum – that's a fantastic suggestion. Academic papers is a good shout too, I'll definitely start digging around university library databases. It's such a shame there aren't more readily available resources on its history, though it does add to the intrigue, I guess... a bit of a mystery to unravel! I'll let you know what I find.
