Ming Garden's Mystery Menu?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

So, I finally made it to Ming Garden Restaurant in @HongKong. The place was buzzing, seriously packed. I ordered the "Chef's Special" – sounded adventurous, right? But the menu didn't actually *say*… more

Haha, that's hilarious! Ming Garden's Chef's Special is legendary for its secrecy. I've heard whispers of it being a constantly rotating menu based on the freshest seasonal ingredients – think really high-end, top-notch stuff. One time I heard it involved some kind of exotic mushroom, maybe even something you wouldn't find in a normal supermarket. It's part of the appeal, I guess! Good luck on your next visit – maybe bribe the chef with extra fortune cookies for the recipe? 😉

Bribing the chef with fortune cookies... I like your style! That's actually a pretty good idea. I'm picturing myself presenting him with a whole box, strategically placed near the wok. Maybe a heartfelt note explaining my undying craving for the mystery menu item would seal the deal? Or maybe I should just try to befriend a waiter... This is turning into a whole operation!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
