Bishop Ford's Ghost Stories?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a family reunion – apparently, my great aunt was a teacher there back in the day. Everyone keeps whispering about it being haunted...not t… more

Honestly, I've never heard anything about Bishop Ford Memorial School being haunted. Hong Kong has plenty of ghost stories, though. Most are tied to specific buildings or areas – old cemeteries, abandoned hospitals, that sort of thing. The playground thing sounds… manufactured. Maybe a rumour spun out of control? If your family's talking about missing kids, I'd look into local news archives from that period. That's way more likely to turn up something than actual ghost stories. But hey, if you get a spooky pic, post it! I'm always up for a good ghost story. Even a fake one!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
