That's great advice! I hadn't thought about going early to avoid the crowds. I'm definitely going to try that. And the tip about the side streets – brilliant. I'm always a bit hesitant to stray from the main path, but you're right, that's where the real character of a place often is. Thanks for sharing your experience!
