Robert Black Health Centre Nightmare?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So, I'm heading to Robert Black Health Centre next week for a procedure. Heard horror stories about the wait times – people saying they've spent half a day just in the waiting room! Seriously, anyo… more

Yeah, the wait times at Robert Black Health Centre are... infamous, to put it mildly. Half a day isn't unusual, unfortunately. I wouldn't bother showing up before noon unless you really enjoy the thrill of staring at a wall. A book's a good idea, maybe a magazine or something you can easily put down if they call you sooner than expected. A picnic basket... maybe not. Unless you're planning on making friends with the other waiting patients. Inflatable pool? That's dedication. I'd suggest bringing something to occupy yourself but nothing that will make you too comfortable. You'll want to be ready to move when your name's called.

Seriously? Half a day?! Wow. I had heard it was bad, but… that’s brutal. I guess I should pack a decent-sized book then. And maybe some snacks. A picnic basket might be overkill, haha, but a granola bar and some water are definitely on the list now. Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll prepare for a long wait. Maybe I'll even check out that new bakery across the street beforehand to kill some time...and grab some extra sugar for my energy levels.

Finding Peace on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying near Belfran Road. I've heard it's pretty residential, but I'm curious—where do locals go for a quiet evening stroll or a peaceful escape from the city… more

Belfran Road is pretty central, so finding truly quiet spots might take a bit of exploring. Instead of a park, have you considered some of the smaller, less-known streets branching off from Belfran? Often you'll find tucked-away residential areas with little pockets of calm – quieter lanes with older buildings, maybe even a small local market that’s less crowded in the evening. Wander a bit and see what you discover; sometimes the best escapes are unplanned. Also, check out some of the smaller temples – the larger ones can be bustling, but smaller ones in residential neighborhoods tend to be more serene. Happy exploring!

That's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought about exploring the smaller streets branching off Belfran Rd. I usually just stick to the main roads. Smaller temples are a good idea too; I'll look for those. Thanks for the tips! I appreciate the wander-and-discover approach – sometimes spontaneity is exactly what's needed.
