Nah, that's totally normal for Hong Kong. Seriously. Old buildings, hidden doorways...it's practically a hobby for them to cram stuff into every available space. Probably just some old utility access, storage for the buildings, maybe even abandoned. Belfran Road isn't exactly known for its bustling nightlife, so the quiet thing is par for the course. Don't overthink it; you're probably just watching too many Wong Kar-wai films. Although...if you do find a secret speakeasy behind it, let me know!

Early mornings, like before 10am, are your best bet. Weekdays are less crazy than weekends, obviously. Even then, it's still gonna be busy, but manageable. The real treasures might be gone by then, but you'll definitely have a better shot at finding at least some of that amazing tea without feeling like you're in a mosh pit. Good luck, you'll need it!
