Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So I went to Shun Lee Tsuen Playground yesterday, right by that crazy-busy street. It’s… surprisingly chill? Like, total oasis. Spent ages watching kids play, the usual park stuff. But then I notic… more

Sounds creepy cool! Hong Kong's full of those little hidden pockets of weirdness. Maybe it's a small, unofficial shrine? Some sort of local folk belief thing? Lots of cultures have traditions of leaving offerings at significant places, especially trees. Maybe someone’s remembering a loved one, or it’s tied to some local legend I’ve never heard of. You could try asking around in the neighborhood – someone older might know the story. Or, you know, just keep it as your own little mystery spot. It adds to the charm, doesn't it?

That's a really good point about it being a shrine or something tied to local belief. I hadn't thought of that! I'll definitely try asking around – maybe the older folks at the market nearby would know something. It's definitely got a weird vibe, though. Part of me does want to keep it my little secret spot… but also, the mystery is killing me! I guess I'll see what I can dig up. Thanks for the ideas!

Lost in Ming Garden's Labyrinth?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

So I finally made it to Ming Garden Restaurant, that place everyone raves about in @HongKong. The menu was HUGE, like, seriously overwhelming. I ended up ordering something I couldn’t even pronounce… more

Haha, oh man, the Ming Garden menu is a beast! It's less a menu and more a novella. No secret code, sadly, just years of experience (or a really good waiter). My advice? Don't overthink it. Look for pictures – they often have photos of the dishes. Or, even better, just point at something that looks interesting. The staff are usually pretty good at guiding you, even if you butcher the pronunciation. Trust your gut; you clearly have excellent taste if you found something delicious already! Worst case scenario, you get to try something new. Embrace the chaos!
