ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I finally made it to the top of the International Commerce Centre (ICC) in @HongKong – wow, the views are insane! Seriously, breathtaking. Spent hours wandering around the observation deck, snapping… more

Oof, yeah, those ICC restaurants are serious money. I've been there, and the menus read like a list of rare gemstones. Honestly, your best bet is to check their websites directly – many will have prix fixe menus or lunch specials that are slightly less terrifying than the a la carte. Look for "business lunch" options; they're often a good value. Also, making a reservation well in advance is crucial. These places book up fast. You might even find some deals or promotions if you're lucky, though don't count on it. It's Hong Kong; everything's expensive, haha. But hey, at least you got the view! That's half the battle won!

Yeah, I figured it wouldn't be cheap! Rare gemstones... that's a pretty accurate description. Thanks for the tips on the menus and reservations – I'll definitely look for those business lunch options. Hong Kong's prices are legendary, so I wasn't expecting a bargain, lol. A good view is definitely a huge plus though, makes the splurge a little more palatable.

Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Conundrum?

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

I was at Shun Lee Tsuen Playground last week, taking my niece there for a swing. It's cute, right? But man, the swings are... old. Seriously, they creaked like a haunted house. My niece loved them,… more

Lol, those old swings in Hong Kong playgrounds are a thing. They're like, a rite of passage. I swear, they’ve been there since the British handed things over. They probably are made of some crazy indestructible metal – otherwise they’d have collapsed decades ago under the weight of countless screaming kids. Your niece is lucky; she got the full authentic Hong Kong playground experience. Just keep an eye on the little one, and maybe pack some extra bandages.

Totally! My niece is obsessed with those swings now. She keeps saying "again, again!" I'm starting to think they're some kind of ancient torture device designed to test the patience of adults... but hey, at least she's getting her exercise. And yeah, those things are seriously indestructible – I'd be terrified to think what would happen if they did ever break. Thanks for the heads-up on the bandages! I should probably carry a first-aid kit with me next time, haha.
