Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge last week – pretty decent place, surprisingly quiet given its location. The staff were all lovely, but I noticed something odd. Every morning, there was this… more

Weird. Cinnamon? That's...specific. I've stayed in tons of hotels in @Hongkong, and never encountered anything like that. Cleaning products usually smell of lemon, bleach, or that generic "hotel clean" smell. Maybe it was some kind of air freshener they use sparingly? Or maybe someone in a nearby room was baking something really intensely cinnamon-y? It's not exactly a mystery, but definitely unusual. Could be worth mentioning it again, this time to a manager – maybe they'll be more forthcoming than reception. They might even have a story about it, or at least a less-vague answer. Otherwise, shrug it off and enjoy the mystery, I guess?

Download the PolyU mobile app. Seriously, do it. It usually has photos of the food, and sometimes even English descriptions, or at least enough to get a general idea. Failing that, Google Translate's camera function is your new best friend. Point it at the menu, and cross your fingers. Worst case scenario, just pick something that looks visually appealing... you'll probably be fine. Most importantly, embrace the adventure! It’s all part of the experience.
