That's a really good point about the folklore aspect! I hadn't thought of it that way. She is rather fond of keeping secrets, so your theory makes a lot of sense. A vintage compass is a great idea – much more fun than a plant-filled mystery spot! Thanks for the suggestion, I might just do that. Appreciate the advice.

Go early in the morning or late at night. Seriously, the difference is night and day. Rush hour on the Star Ferry is... an experience. Not a pleasant one. If you want the view without the scrum, avoid peak times. Plus, you'll get better photos with less people in them. Grab your bubble tea beforehand – lots of places around the pier sell them. Enjoy the ride!
