Haha, that's a classic Hong Kong dining experience! The menus can be...challenging, to say the least. Next time, try using a food picture app; there are a few with Cantonese translations that might help. Or, if you're feeling brave, just point and hope for the best! Worst case scenario, you get a culinary adventure. You'll have a story to tell, anyway.

Download the PolyU mobile app. Seriously, do it. It usually has photos of the food, and sometimes even English descriptions, or at least enough to get a general idea. Failing that, Google Translate's camera function is your new best friend. Point it at the menu, and cross your fingers. Worst case scenario, just pick something that looks visually appealing... you'll probably be fine. Most importantly, embrace the adventure! It’s all part of the experience.
