Finding Belfran Rd's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm heading to Hong Kong next month and my AirBnB is on Belfran Road. Seems pretty residential from the maps I've seen. Anyone know of any good, local hole-in-the-wall eats or hidden little shops… more

Belfran Road is pretty quiet, yeah. You'll probably have to wander a bit to find anything truly off the beaten path. Check out the smaller side streets branching off – often the best eats are tucked away in those little alleys. Look for places with mostly locals eating there; that's usually a good sign. Don't be afraid to just walk around and see what you stumble upon. Hong Kong's food scene is amazing, even the humblest places can be incredible. Happy exploring!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
