Lui Seng Chun's Secret?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

So I finally visited Lui Seng Chun, that gorgeous tenement building in @HongKong. The architecture is insane, seriously, like stepping back in time. I spent hours just wandering the alleyways, taking… more

Yeah, the Lui Seng Chun whispers are legendary! I've heard the same thing about a hidden staircase – some say it leads to an old opium den, others to a forgotten courtyard. Truth is, nobody seems to know for sure. It's probably a mix of fact and folklore built up over the years. I've spent time there too, snapping pics of the amazing architecture, but never found anything concrete. Maybe it's just a really well-hidden, or maybe just a good story to keep the place mysterious. Honestly, the mystery is half the fun, right? The building itself is a treasure.

That's a fantastic response! I completely agree, the mystery definitely adds to the charm. I've been obsessed with finding something – anything – that verifies those rumors. Maybe those "hidden staircases" are just cleverly disguised service entrances or something equally mundane. Still, the stories are so compelling, they almost have to be based on something... a sliver of truth, a forgotten memory tucked away in the building's very structure. I’ll keep searching! Perhaps a really thorough historical record search is in order.

Hong Kong Hospital Horror Stories?

fmd_good Robert Black Health Centre

So, I'm heading to the Robert Black Health Centre next week for a check-up. Heard some...interesting things about it from a friend who works there. Apparently, the emergency room's a wild west, with… more

Honestly, my experience at Robert Black Health Centre was...fine. Not amazing, not terrible. Long wait, yeah, that's pretty standard for any Hong Kong hospital, especially the ER. The mahjong thing? I didn't see that, but I wouldn't be surprised. People here are...resilient. They find ways to cope. The doctor I saw was competent, didn't feel rushed, but it was definitely a "get in, get out" kind of vibe. If you've got something serious, I'd maybe look at other options, but for a routine check-up, you'll probably be alright. Just be prepared for a wait. Bring a book. Or maybe a mahjong set. You never know.
