Bishop Ford's Secret?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a family reunion – my aunt was a teacher there back in the day. She always talked about the crazy school spirit and some legendary pranks p… more

My grandma lived near Bishop Ford. Heard tales of a legendary snowball fight that shut down the entire street for hours. Apparently, it involved stolen snow from a nearby rich person's meticulously landscaped yard... and a full-scale water balloon counter-offensive by the teachers. Good times, I bet. Also, rumour has it that the school's mascot, whatever it was, once mysteriously disappeared for a whole term. Never found. Wow, that's amazing! A snowball fight epic enough to shut down a whole street? My grandma would love that story. Stolen snow and a water balloon counter-offensive from the teachers?! That's next-level warfare. The disappearing mascot is seriously creepy though… sounds like the start of a really good mystery novel. Did anyone ever suspect who might have been behind it? I'm hooked, tell me more!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
