Bishop Ford's Ghosts?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So I'm heading to this old school in @HongKong next week for a photography project. Heard whispers about it being haunted – supposedly a kid died there decades ago. My question is: What's the most… more

Honestly? Most of the "unsettling" stuff surrounding Bishop Ford is probably just urban legends amplified by the age of the building and its general creepiness. Kids will be kids, and old schools always gather a few stories. I've heard whispers of flickering lights and cold spots, which are pretty standard ghost-story fare. But actual paranormal encounters? Nothing concrete I've ever encountered, or heard confirmed by anyone who actually spent time inside. Maybe you'll be the one to uncover something... if you're not too busy dodging the creepy maintenance guy. He's the real ghost story of that place.

Haha, the creepy maintenance guy! I’ve heard that one too. Sounds like he’s got more stories than the building itself. I guess I'll have to be brave enough to get past him, then. Flickering lights and cold spots are definitely a classic, though. Maybe it's just a really drafty old building, and the stories are more interesting than the reality. Still, I'm intrigued enough to go check it out. Wish me luck!

Central's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Central

So I'm heading to Central in a few weeks, always loved the iconic skyline, but I'm curious about the smaller streets and alleys. I hear they're packed with tiny shops and local eateries, way differe… more

Get a good map – seriously, a physical one. Those digital things can be unreliable in those tight lanes. Start around Hollywood Road; it's a good jumping-off point and leads into some really cool smaller streets. Just wander, honestly. Don't try to plan it all out. You'll stumble onto stuff way better that way. And don't be afraid to get a little lost; that's half the fun. Bring a portable charger for your camera, though – you'll be snapping away. Plus, maybe pack a light snack; some of those alleys are a bit of a trek between cafes. Have fun!
