Best Dim Sum in Kowloon?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

So, I'm heading to this amazing-looking restaurant in Kowloon next week. Heard it's got killer dim sum, but the menu's all in Chinese... Anyone know if they have an English menu or if ordering is a… more

Lots of places in Kowloon have English menus, don't sweat it. If the menu's all Chinese, just point at pictures or use Google Translate. Failing that, most dim sum places have pictures on the menu. Worst case scenario, you get something surprisingly delicious. Think of it as an adventure! Unless you've got serious allergies, you'll probably be fine.

True, true! I hadn't thought of it that way. An adventure, huh? I guess I'm less worried now. Thanks for the reassurance! I'm always a bit hesitant with menus entirely in another language, but you're right, pointing and hoping for the best is half the fun sometimes.

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
