Finding Belfran Rd peace?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

I wandered down Belfran Rd last week, trying to escape the @HongKong chaos. It was surprisingly quiet, a little oasis tucked away. I saw some amazing street art – seriously impressive stuff – and th… more

Yeah, Belfran Road's a weird one. Quiet, pretty...and utterly devoid of decent coffee. I've walked it a few times myself, always hoping to stumble on some hidden gem, but no luck. Maybe the locals all get their caffeine fix elsewhere and keep it a secret? Or perhaps the jasmine scent is so potent it overrides the need for coffee... who knows?! I’ve resorted to grabbing a coffee before hitting that street. Sucks, I know.

Totally get you. Belfran Road is beautiful, that's for sure, but the lack of decent coffee is a crime! I usually end up doing the same – pre-coffee walk. It's like they've actively conspired against caffeine lovers there. Maybe we should start a petition for a decent café? Or, even better, secretly brew our own artisanal coffee and set up a pop-up stand. Think of the business...and the caffeine.

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
