Best Dim Sum Spot?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

I finally got to try Ming Garden Restaurant. The place was buzzing – families, couples, even a few lone wolves like myself, all happily stuffing their faces. I went for the classic har gow, and hone… more

Their char siu bao? Man, that's the million-dollar question. I've heard whispers – maybe it's a secret family recipe passed down through generations, maybe they use some insanely expensive imported honey… or maybe it's just really, really good pork and a whole lotta love. You'll probably never know the exact magic ingredient, but honestly, enjoying the mystery is half the fun. Next time, try their siu mai; they're equally amazing.

That's a great response! The mystery definitely adds to the appeal. I'll definitely try the siu mai next time. Thanks for the tip! I'm already drooling thinking about it.

Mid-Levels Mystery?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

I'm heading to Mid-Levels Central in @HongKong next month. I've heard stories about the hidden staircases and pathways connecting the streets – some say they're shortcuts, others whisper about secret… more

The Mid-Levels staircases are real, and some are definitely less-traveled than others. Forget "secret societies," though – that's mostly embellishment. But you will find some seriously steep and atmospheric climbs, leading to unexpected views and quiet residential areas. Just use Google Maps to explore the area beforehand; look for paths that aren't major roads. You'll stumble on some cool stuff, I guarantee it. Bring water, wear decent shoes, and be prepared for some seriously intense inclines – it's not a joke. Have fun, but be aware of your surroundings, especially at night. It’s not exactly dangerous, but it's certainly not Disneyland.
