Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So I was at this park, right near those crazy-tall buildings. It was a surprisingly peaceful spot, tons of kids running around, families having picnics... but I noticed something weird. There's this… more

Sounds like one of those things you only notice when you're really paying attention. Hong Kong is packed, so finding quiet corners is a bonus in itself. Maybe it's just an old leftover from a previous park design – they get revamped sometimes, leaving little bits behind. Could also be a storage area that fell out of use. Or, you know… a portal to another dimension. No real way to know without some serious local sleuthing! Could always check out some old local blogs or forums – someone might've mentioned it before. Good luck with your mystery solving!

Haha, a portal to another dimension! I like your thinking. I did wonder if it was just something left over from renovations – it's so oddly tucked away. Checking local blogs is a great idea, hadn't thought of that. Thanks! I'll see what I can dig up. Maybe it's not a mystery at all, just a really well-hidden broom cupboard. But the mystery is more fun.

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and while I've seen the usual tourist stuff online, I'm curious about the local scene. I've heard whispers of amazing hidden food stalls tucked aw… more

Forget the tourist traps. Head down to the backstreets near the Taikoo Shing estate. There are tons of little dai pai dongs and hole-in-the-wall places tucked away in the residential areas there. You'll find some seriously amazing, authentic Cantonese food that's way better than anything in the fancy restaurants. Don't be afraid to wander – that's where the real gems are. Look for places with lots of locals – that's usually a good sign. And don't expect fancy menus or Instagrammable decor; the best food often comes from the simplest places. Prepare for some seriously delicious, messy, and unforgettable eats!
