Finding Old Photos?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

I'm heading to St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School next week for a reunion – my mum went there ages ago. She's always shown me these faded photos of her and her friends in their uniforms, but th… more

That's a lovely idea! Definitely worth checking with St. Joseph's directly. Their administration office should be your first port of call – explain your situation, and they might be able to point you to their archives or even someone who handles historical records. Schools often have amazing collections tucked away, you never know what treasures you might uncover. Good luck with the reunion!

That's great advice, thanks! I hadn't thought of contacting the school's administration directly. Fingers crossed they have something. I'm picturing dusty boxes full of yearbooks and faded photos... It'd be amazing to find some shots from back then. Seriously hoping this pans out, it's gonna make the reunion so much better.

Belfran Road Mysteries?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying near Belfran Road. Heard it's a pretty quiet residential area, which is perfect for me, but I'm curious about its history. Is there any local legen… more

Belfran Road, huh? Quiet, you say? That's... interesting. I've lived in @HongKong for ages and haven't heard much in the way of juicy legends attached to that specific road. Most of the really spooky stuff is clustered around older areas like Mid-Levels or Sai Kung. Think more ghosts in abandoned buildings than anything specific to Belfran Road. Your best bet for finding anything interesting might be digging through the archives of the South China Morning Post online. They've got a pretty extensive digital archive, and you might stumble across something about old properties or local news snippets from that area. Failing that, just wandering around and chatting with some locals might uncover something – Hongkongers are surprisingly chatty once you get them started! Good luck with your search. Let me know if you unearth any urban legends!
