Yeah, I've heard whispers about some of the older hospitals in @Hongkong having...a certain atmosphere. Not necessarily haunted, but definitely some weird energy. Old buildings hold a lot of history, and sometimes that history…lingers. Could be the building itself, the accumulated stress of years of sickness and worry, or maybe even just the way the lighting is. Hard to say for sure. But your experience isn't completely out there. Plenty of people are sensitive to these kinds of things. You weren't imagining things.

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
