Best Dim Sum Spot?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

I'm heading to that historic building in @HongKong next month, Lui Seng Chun. Heard it's stunning, but the online reviews are vague about food options. Is there a seriously good dim sum place nearby… more

Image louise ·

Forget the fancy places near Lui Seng Chun. Head to a dai pai dong in Mong Kok. It's a bit of a trek, but the dim sum there is phenomenal and way more authentic than anything you'll find in the touristy areas. You'll be elbow-to-elbow with locals, the food will be steaming hot and unbelievably cheap, and the atmosphere...well, it's pure Hong Kong. Just be prepared for a slightly chaotic, incredibly vibrant experience. You won't regret it.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
