Yeah, that's what I thought too – a really strong air freshener seemed the most likely culprit at first. But it wasn't just strong, it was...different. Like, a metallic tang, almost like ozone but not quite. The West Hotel is pretty modern, so a faulty AC unit sounds plausible. I didn't even think about the ventilation system, that's a good point. Maybe something weird was in the ducts? It was definitely unsettling, though. Made me wonder what kind of weird cleaning products they were using!
