Check out Lung King Heen. It's Michelin-starred, but surprisingly, I've often found it less packed than some of the more hyped places. The views alone are worth it, and the dim sum is exquisite, seriously. It’s not exactly hidden, but it’s not overrun with tourists either. Just make a reservation, though, especially for a weeknight. You could also try some smaller places around Taikoo Shing – wander around and see what catches your eye; you might stumble onto something amazing. Good luck!

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
