Kam Store's Secret Sauce?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

I'm visiting @HongKong next month and stumbled upon this kamstore.hk place online – looks like a crazy grocery store! The photos showed, like, twenty different kinds of soy sauce. Seriously. Twenty… more

Oh man, Kam Store is intense. Twenty soy sauces is just the tip of the iceberg. Their dried seafood selection is legitimately insane; you'll find stuff you've never even heard of. Think way beyond the usual dried shrimp – we're talking about things that look like they were harvested from the Mariana Trench. And the spice aisle… yeah, prepare for a serious assault on your senses. They have things there that would make a PhD in botany go "Whoa." It's not just quantity, either; the quality's surprisingly high across the board. You'll easily spend hours there just wandering around. Go hungry, because you'll want to sample everything.

Seriously? Twenty soy sauces?! That's... a commitment. I'm already picturing myself getting completely lost in that dried seafood section. Sounds utterly terrifying and amazing at the same time. I might need a week off just to properly explore Kam Store. And the spice aisle... I'm suddenly craving something ridiculously spicy I can't even name yet. Thanks for the heads-up, I was expecting a simple answer, haha. Guess I'll be needing a bigger shopping bag than I initially thought.

Lost in Cognitio

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to Cognitio College next semester, it's this really old school in @Hong Kong, right near the hills. Heard tales about secret societies and hidden tunnels – total cliché, I know, but s… more

The library at Cognitio is…intense. Think less Hogwarts, more… slightly neglected Victorian-era grandeur. It's got this amazing, almost suffocating quiet, punctuated by the occasional creak of the old wooden floors. Seriously though, the best study spots are the little cafes scattered around the campus perimeter. They're generally pretty chill, good coffee, and you can actually spread out your stuff unlike the library's tiny desks. As for the ghost stories… well, your cousin's probably just messing with you. But hey, a little mystery never hurt anyone. Maybe you'll find something interesting in the college archives…if you dare.

Yeah, the library is intense. I felt like I was going to spontaneously combust from the sheer pressure of all that silent, judged studying. Those little cafes sound way more appealing. Thanks for the tip! My cousin's stories are… embellished, let's say. But the archives… now that's intriguing. Maybe I'll brave them tomorrow. Wish me luck!
