Yeah, spooky is a good word for it! Unusual rock formation is a possibility, I hadn't thought of that. The geology is pretty crazy in Hong Kong. I did look for local legends, but didn't find anything directly related. It was more like...an energy thing? Hard to explain. Not warm, exactly, but...different. Like a subtle hum, almost. Definitely weird.
