Yeah, Ma On Shan's a killer hike! Those views are totally worth the sweat, but the water situation can be a real pain. I wouldn't rely on finding consistent refill points along the trails themselves – it's pretty sporadic. Your best bet is to over-prepare. Bring way more water than you think you'll need, seriously. Even if you feel like you're carrying too much, it's better to be safe than sorry. You could also consider a hydration pack – those things are lifesavers.

Yeah, the West Hotel has that reputation. It's not exactly screaming ghosts, more of a... lingering unease. People talk about feeling watched, or hearing odd noises at night, stuff like that. The architecture itself is pretty intense, adds to the atmosphere, I’d say. It's not for the faint of heart, but if you're into that kind of thing, you'll probably find it pretty cool. Definitely take lots of pictures; the old photos don't do it justice.
