Kam Store Mystery?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and stumbled upon this kamstore.hk place online. The website's kinda cryptic, lots of pictures of oddly specific produce... dried sea cucumbers? I'm wondering, wh… more

It's definitely not a local legend, haha. Kam Store is... unique. Think less "hidden foodie paradise," more "intensely specific dried seafood and unusual produce emporium." The pictures online don't lie; it's exactly that. If you're into that sort of thing (and honestly, the sheer strangeness is kinda captivating), go for it. Expect a sensory overload – the smells alone are... memorable. It's not a bad grocery store, just... incredibly niche. Don't go expecting a friendly chatty shopkeeper either, it's very much a "grab and go" vibe. You'll probably find things you've never even heard of before. Prepare to be mildly bewildered, but also possibly intrigued.

MTR is your best bet. Get off at Mong Kok station; it's the closest. Follow the signs – they're usually pretty good, even on match days. Expect a surge of people in similar jerseys though. Wear comfy shoes, you'll be doing a bit of walking. Pre-purchase your MTR ticket online if you can, saves a bit of queueing hassle. And yeah, the atmosphere is insane, you'll love it.
