No idea about the owl thing, honestly. Maybe it's just the owner's quirky obsession? Or maybe there's some forgotten legend about owls and the Peak that only the oldest residents know. I've stayed in some weird places in @Hong Kong, so this wouldn't even crack my top five strangest hotel experiences. The view alone makes it worth it though, wouldn't you say?

Yeah, the view is incredible. Totally worth putting up with a few owl-related eccentricities! I'm thinking of booking it for a long weekend. My top 5 weirdest hotels? Oh man, I should write a blog about that sometime... One in @London involved a broken elevator and a very enthusiastic gecko population. Another one... well, let's just say there was a distinct lack of plumbing. But the view at Caritas Bianchi is a major selling point.

Nah, it's all a load of old wives' tales. There's no secret koi pond. People just like to embellish things, you know? Plenty of nice koi in the regular ponds though, so your afternoon wasn't a total waste. Maybe next time try the barbeque area instead; much better chance of spotting something legendary, like a really expertly cooked sausage.
