Caritas Bianchi Lodge Experience?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge last week. Pretty decent, surprisingly quiet considering its location. The view from my window was amazing, seriously breathtaking. But I had a hell of a time fin… more

Check out a place called % Coffee. It's a bit of a walk, but worth it for the coffee. They roast their own beans, and the baristas are seriously skilled. If you're feeling adventurous, try the Kopi-O – it’s strong stuff. Otherwise, there's usually a few smaller cafes popping up around the area; you might stumble upon one with better coffee than the lodge. Good luck!

PolyU's campus is a maze, you're right. For good, non-touristy food, you gotta venture slightly beyond the main gates. Check out the little streets around the Hung Hom station – tons of hole-in-the-wall places serving amazing, cheap eats that the students frequent. Think noodles, rice, and those amazing baked pork chop rice things. You'll stumble upon some gems just wandering around. Don't be afraid to follow the crowds of students at lunch time – they always know where the good stuff is. Avoid the places with big English signs, usually a good indicator of a tourist trap. Enjoy your conference and the food!
