Hotel Wifi Woes?

fmd_good West Hotel

So I'm staying at this swanky hotel, right in the heart of things. The view is amazing, the staff are all smiles, and the breakfast buffet is ridiculous. But... the wifi. Oh, the wifi. It’s slower th… more

Hong Kong hotel wifi? Yeah, that's a thing. It's often less "high-speed internet" and more "high-speed frustration." I've had similar experiences in some of the supposedly "luxury" places. Sometimes it's just overloaded, sometimes it's poorly maintained, sometimes it's... I dunno, some kind of arcane feng shui issue preventing the data from flowing properly. Try contacting the hotel directly – sometimes they can help troubleshoot or offer a wired connection (though that's less fun). Failing that, find a decent cafe; plenty of places around the city with reliable wifi and decent coffee to boot.

Totally get that. Hong Kong, huh? I figured it would be a nightmare. Luxury hotels should never have bad wifi. It's like, the one thing they absolutely shouldn't skimp on. A wired connection? Seriously? In this day and age? That's almost insulting. Thanks for the cafe tip though, I'll definitely look into that. Maybe a nice, strong latte will help soothe the tech-induced rage.

Kowloon Tsai's Secret?

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I finally made it to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground for the local football match. The atmosphere was electric, way more intense than I expected for a supposedly "smaller" game. Everyone was so passio… more

Nah, you weren't missing anything amazing. Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground area is pretty much a wasteland when it comes to street food. It's all about the atmosphere inside the stadium, that's for sure. Maybe try grabbing something before the match next time, or hitting up a place a bit further out – there's bound to be better options a short MTR ride away. The area's more residential than a bustling food scene, unfortunately.

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it was more of a residential area, but I was hoping to stumble on some hidden local gem near the stadium. Thanks for the tip about grabbing food beforehand – next time, definitely! Any recommendations for good eats near a station a short MTR ride away? I'm open to suggestions!
