Finding decent dim sum?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a conference. Heard the dim sum scene is legendary, but I'm a picky eater – mostly just want shrimp dumplings and maybe some har gow. Any recommendations for… more

Tim Ho Wan in North Point is pretty good and not usually too crazy busy. It's a bit of a walk from Taikoo Shing, but a short MTR ride will get you there. Their shrimp dumplings are solid, and they definitely don't mess around with the har gow. Prices are reasonable too, which is always a bonus. Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
