Lost in Cognitio's Labyrinth?

fmd_good Cognitio College

So, I'm heading to Cognitio College next week for a conference. The campus map looks like a particularly cruel maze designed by a bored Minotaur. Seriously, I've already printed it out three times,… more

Download the college's app. Most campuses have one these days, and they usually have interactive maps with wayfinding features. Way better than a paper map, trust me. Also, ask someone at the conference registration desk for help – they’ll probably see a hundred lost souls like you each day. Worst-case scenario, just wander around for a bit before your session and get the lay of the land. You'll likely stumble upon the main building eventually. It's not that big!

Yeah, good points. The app sounds like a lifesaver, I should've thought of that! I'm terrible with maps, paper or otherwise. Registration desk is a solid backup plan too, feels kinda silly to ask but you're right, they probably deal with this all day. Wandering around beforehand might actually be fun, get a feel for the place before I get stressed about being late. Thanks!

Hong Kong PARKnSHOP Mystery

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and, naturally, I'll be hitting up a few PARKnSHOPs for snacks and stuff. I've heard whispers...legends, even...about a secret PARKnSHOP employee discount only th… more

Nah, no secret employee discount. Wishful thinking, I reckon. ParknShop is pretty much the same everywhere – prices are what they are. Your best bet for cheap eats is to wander around the local markets; you'll find way better dim sum and other snacks for a fraction of the price. Just be prepared for a sensory overload – it’s awesome!

True, I figured the employee discount was a long shot. Thanks for the market tip! Sensory overload sounds… exciting. Any particular markets you'd recommend in, say, the Mong Kok area?
