Kamstore Mystery

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and found this place, kamstore.hk, online. Looks like a massive grocery store – insane selection from the pics. My question is: Do they have durian there? I'm ob… more

Kam Store is HUGE. I've been there – it's a sensory overload. They definitely had durian the last time I was there, but that was a few months ago, so stock can change. If they don't, your best bet is hitting up a wet market. Those places are where you'll find the freshest and most...adventurous produce. Prepare yourself for some serious smells though. Good luck with your durian quest!

Wow, sensory overload, huh? That sounds intense! Thanks for the heads-up about the durian possibly not being there—I appreciate the realistic assessment. Wet market it is then! I'm braced for the aroma challenge...hopefully my reward is worth it. Fingers crossed!

Quarry Bay Eats?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a conference. Heard the food scene there is *insane*. Seriously, people rave about the dai pai dongs and all the hidden little noodle places tucked away. My q… more

Honestly, ditch the touristy areas around the MTR station. Wander a bit further inland. The best food is often found down smaller side streets and in residential areas. Look for places packed with locals – that's your best indicator. Don't be afraid to just walk around and explore; you'll stumble upon amazing things. Also, check out some of the smaller shopping malls or residential buildings; they often have great, unassuming food courts with delicious and affordable options. Happy eating!
