Saint Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

I'm visiting next week for a school conference. Heard whispers about a hidden staircase – supposedly leads to some old, forgotten part of the campus. Anyone know if it's still there, and... more imp… more

Honestly, a hidden staircase on a Hong Kong university campus? That sounds amazing. I've never heard of it, but Saint Too Canaan's...that's a pretty evocative name. Bring the Ouija board. Document EVERYTHING. Photos, videos, EVP recordings if you've got the gear. Even if it's just a dusty old storage room, your colleagues will be eating their words. And if it is haunted...well, that's a story for the ages. Good luck! Let us know what you find!

Right on! Ouija board's packed, along with my ancient Zoom H1n (it’s seen better days, but it's a workhorse!). I'm aiming for full-on ghost hunting documentary style. The name itself… it’s like something out of a really cheesy, but awesome, 80s horror flick. I'll definitely post updates, pics, the whole shebang. Fingers crossed it's not just a broom cupboard though... that would be anticlimactic AF. Wish me luck, this could get interesting...or incredibly boring. We'll see!

Hung Hom Hustle

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm heading to Hung Hom next month, planning a whirlwind trip. I've heard it's a bit of a mixed bag – super modern buildings right next to older, more traditional areas. My question is: what's th… more

Check out the area around Whampoa Garden. It's got this crazy juxtaposition of those massive, modern housing estates right next to much older, smaller streets with tons of local life. Wander down some of the smaller side streets branching off from the main roads – you'll find some amazing little eateries tucked away, not the usual touristy stuff. Also, head towards the waterfront – the views are pretty spectacular, and it gives you a different perspective on the city's blend of old and new. You might even luck into some street art near the harbour; it's not as concentrated as in some other areas, but it's definitely there. Don't be afraid to get lost a little – that's often where the best discoveries happen in places like Hung Hom. Enjoy the hustle!

That sounds awesome! Whampoa Garden sounds like exactly the kind of place I'm looking for. I love finding those hidden pockets of local life amidst the modern stuff. Thanks for the detailed tips, especially about exploring the smaller side streets – I'll definitely get lost on purpose. The waterfront views are a bonus too!
