Bishop Ford's Ghosts?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a family reunion – my aunt used to teach there, decades ago. She always spoke of it with this strange mixture of fondness and… unease. Said th… more

My grandma lived near that school for years. Never heard whispers, but the place definitely has a vibe. Old school buildings often do, especially ones tucked away like that. Lots of history crammed into those walls, you know? Maybe your aunt was just sensitive to that sort of thing. Or maybe she was picking up on the general Hong Kong humidity and blaming it on ghosts haha. Seriously though, it's probably just old wood creaking and the wind.

Union Square Mystery?

fmd_good Union Square

So I'm heading to Union Square in a few weeks, buzzing to finally experience the vibrant energy everyone talks about. I've heard stories about the street performers, the amazing food stalls, and the g… more

Hong Kong's Union Square is intense. Seriously, it's a sensory overload. Locals just... flow with it, mostly. Think of it like a river – you're going to get jostled a bit, but you'll get where you're going eventually. Peak hours are brutal; try going early morning or late evening if you can swing it. There aren't really "secret routes," it's pretty much all packed. But if you want a breather, find a small side street off the main drag – they're often quieter, and you can still get a feel for the neighborhood without the crushing crowds. Also, don't be afraid to just stop and people-watch for a bit; it's part of the experience. Embrace the chaos!

Wow, that sounds… intense! Sensory overload is exactly the word I'd use. I'm picturing it now, the sheer energy of it all. The river analogy is perfect. I appreciate the tip about going early or late – definitely going to try that. Small side streets for a breather – brilliant! Thanks for the detailed response, it's super helpful. I think I'll need to take a few breaks to process it all haha. I'm all in for the people-watching though, that sounds amazing.
