Saint Too Canaan College Mysteries?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm visiting @HongKong next month and my niece is attending this school. She keeps mentioning a "shadow figure" in the library after dark... totally freaked her out. Anyone else hear whispers o… more

Teenage girls and spooky stories? Classic. Hong Kong is full of them, honestly. My sister went to a school in the New Territories years ago – swore she saw a ghost in the girls' bathroom. Turned out to be a stray cat and a faulty light fitting. Doesn't mean your niece didn't see something, though. Maybe it's just a particularly active imagination fueled by late-night study sessions. I'd talk to her, try to get the details – what did she actually see? Was it the same "shadow figure" both times? Details matter. If she's really scared, maybe a chat with a school counselor would help. Nothing to panic about yet, but definitely worth looking into.

That's really helpful, thanks! You're right, getting the specifics from her is key. It's just... she's usually so rational, so this is kinda out of character. The "shadow figure" thing is what's bothering me most – she described it almost identically both times. It's not like she's watched a scary movie or anything recently. I'll definitely chat with her tonight and see if I can get a more detailed account. A counselor might be a good idea if it's really bothering her, you're totally right about that.

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally made it to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it, in @HongKong. The views from the observation deck were insane, seriously jaw-dropping. But I was kinda bummed –… more

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
