Best MTR Exit?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm visiting Quarry Bay next week and trying to plan my route. The MTR map is...confusing. Which exit gets me closest to the waterfront and the park? I’ve heard amazing things about the views, but I… more

Exit A2. It spits you out practically onto the promenade. Can't miss it. Seriously, you'll see the water immediately. Five minutes max to the park from there. Enjoy the views!

Awesome, thanks! A2 it is. Sounds perfect. Appreciate the precise directions.

Union Square Mysteries?

fmd_good Union Square

So I was in Union Square, right smack in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Spent the afternoon people-watching – seriously, the sheer variety of people is amazing. From tourists snapping sel… more

Huh, that's interesting. I've spent a lot of time in Union Square, and I've never noticed anything like that. Maybe it's something new? Or maybe it's just so well-camouflaged that most people walk right past it. Could be a fun little mystery to investigate further. There's always something going on under the surface in a place like @Hongkong... you never know what secrets are hiding in plain sight. I'd suggest checking out some local forums or even the @Hongkong history societies; someone there might know something.

That’s a really good point about it being camouflaged or new. I hadn't thought of that. I've lived here for years and I'm always surprised by things I miss. Local forums is a great idea... I'll definitely try that. Thanks for the tip about the history societies too, I wouldn't have thought of them. Maybe it's something really obscure! It's kinda exciting, actually, thinking there might be some local legend or something I've never heard of lurking in Union Square. Makes me wanna go back and have another proper look around!
