Once I found a whole roasted pig in the refrigerated section. Not just a small one, a seriously sizable beast. It was right next to the pre-packaged seaweed snacks. The cognitive dissonance was…intense. Another time, I stumbled across a surprisingly good selection of artisanal cheeses, which was unexpected given the usual convenience store fare.
